WHAT DOES A FRUITFUL LIFE LOOK LIKE? JESUS 

 

The Heart of Jesus: 

  • Manifestation of the Kingdom of God: Matthew 6:10* 
  • Life In Abundance: John 10:10
  • Reach the Lost: Luke 19:10, Matthew 4:19
  • Repentance: Matthew 4:17, Acts 3:19-20
  • Reconciliation: 2 Corinthians 5:19
  • Freedom From Oppression: Acts 10:38 (Spirit | Soul | Body) 
  • Common Unity (Community): Ephesians 4
  • The Glorification of Believers: John 17:22, Matthew 5:13
    “The action of describing or representing something as admirable.”
  • Restoration of All Things: Acts 3:19-21

 

Concentration:

  • Evangelism – Ministering to others to share Jesus with them.
  • Discipleship – Mentoring followers of Jesus. 
  • Community – Life together in unity.

 

COMMUNITY: The Body of Christ 

  • John 17:20-22: Become ONE with Jesus and each other.
  • Acts 2:42-47: The FELLOWSHIP of the Believers. 
  • Ephesians 4:4-16: UNITY of the Spirit. 
  • Romans 12:4-5: We BELONG to ONE ANOTHER.

 

HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH COMMUNITY?  LIFE GROUPS JESUS WAS IN A LIFE GROUP 

 

DISCIPLESHIP: Being and Making Followers of Jesus 

The GREAT COMMISSION: The Last Instruction of Jesus

  • Luke 9:23–24: To follow Jesus requires SACRIFICE.
  • John 8:31-32: If you ABIDE in His word, you are His disciple. 
  • Matthew 28:16-20: Teach them EVERYTHING

 

HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH DISCIPLESHIP? MENTORING

 

Three Kinds of Fruitful Relationships:

  • Being MENTORED.
  • MUTUAL sharpening.
  • MENTORING others.  

 

EVANGELISM: REACH and PREACH the Good News

  • Luke 4:16-19: This is WHY Jesus came.
  • Luke 19:10: Jesus came to SEEK and to save the lost.
  • Matthew 4:19: We are CALLED to be fishers of people.
  • Matthew 10:5-11: Our MODEL for Evangelism.

 

How Do We Reach People? 

  • 2 Corinthians 5:14: Be compelled by LOVE.
  • Be INTENTIONAL
  • Mark 16:20: They preached EVERYWHERE.
  • Look for OPPRESSION
  • Be BOLD and CONFIDENT in the Holy Spirit.

 

Journey Church exists to reach people who are disconnected from God and lead them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

 

Action Steps:

  • PRAY – Ask for your heart to burn with the heart of Jesus.
  • TAKE ACTION – Be intentional and purposeful in your pursuit.
  • TRUST – He will lead you

Handbook & Welcome Packet

•    The parent must complete the necessary registration forms and pay a non-refundable Annual materials fee. This covers registration fees, book, and materials for class.

•    The parent must provide the center with a pre-school/child immunization certificate, or Blue Slip. This is to be kept updated, if it is not, the center will send out a notice stating that the required immunizations are out dated. The form can be obtained through the health department or your pediatrician.

•    The parent will receive a copy of the policies and procedures and will go over them thoroughly. The parent will sign the Parental Agreement form which indicates policies and procedures and agreed upon fees.

•    All enrollment forms, including a Schedule Information Form, must be completed by the parent and returned to the center by the first day of attendance.

•    Parents of children with special needs or handicaps must inform the director of the child’s condition(s) prior to enrollment so it can be determined if the center can adequately meet the needs of the child. This is necessary for the well being of the child.
