‘The Gospel – Week 2’ – 2.8.2026

What do people who have been changed by the Gospel actually do with the Gospel?

15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”  Mark 16:15 NLT

15 “Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.” 1 Peter 3:15 NLT

The Gospel is not meant to stop with us — it is meant to move through us.

What exactly did Jesus tell us to do with the Gospel?

19 “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:19-20 NLT

Take the Gospel outward and help people follow Him fully, not halfway.

This is not about having perfect words — it is about faithful obedience and willing hearts.

Why do we still hesitate to share our faith?

  • We are afraid.
  • We don’t feel qualified.
  • We don’t want to be pushy.
  • We are complacent

Three Practical Ways to Share Your Faith

  • Use What You Have

27 Later, as Jesus left the town, he saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. 28 So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him. 29 Later, Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. Many of Levi’s fellow tax collectors and other guests also ate with them.  Luke 5:27-29 NLT

  • Invite Someone to Church

28 The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, 29 “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” 30 So the people came streaming from the village to see him. John 4:28-30 NLT

An invitation is not pressure — it is an open door. One invitation can change a direction. One invitation can change a life.

  • Share Your Story

10 They asked, “Who healed you? What happened?” 11 He told them, “The man they call Jesus made mud and spread it over my eyes and told me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash yourself.’ So I went and washed, and now I can see!”  John 9:10-11 NLT

  • Who I was before Jesus.
  • How I met Jesus.
  • Who I am now because of Jesus.

Don’t let the Gospel sit still in your life. Carry it. Speak it. Share it. Because the Good News is too good to keep to yourself.

14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.”  Matthew 5:14-15 NLT
