Celebrate Recovery

Journey Church exists to reach people who are disconnected from God and lead them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered family recovery ministry. We have an opportunity in this program to take the hand of Jesus Christ and walk with Him toward healing and serenity. The purpose is to free us from life’s hurts, habits, and hangups. By learning the teachings found in the Beatitudes of Jesus, we begin to experience God’s peace. Applying these biblical principles along with helping one another, we will restore and develop stronger relationships with others and with God.

Monday Nights:

6:15PM – Dinner

6:45PM – Worship/Large Group

7:45PM – Small Groups

HOW IT WORKS

Monday night Celebrate Recovery (CR) meetings begin with a complimentary meal and fellowship.  We then come together in a large group setting with worship, teaching, and testimonies. From there, all participants separate into gender-specific, open share groups. In these groups, the participants are encouraged to discuss the teaching and work through life’s issues. Childcare is available for infants. CR Kids, which includes worship, lessons and fun activities, is available for children K-6th grade. CR Students for teens also meets separately for worship, teaching, testimony and gender-specific small group discussion. Those looking to address his or her recovery on a deeper level are encouraged to join an additional, gender-specific, step-study small group. These groups work through the Celebrate Recovery Participant’s guide which is based on the Christ-centered 12 steps and the 8 Principles derived from the Beatitudes in Matthew 5.
