14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be  hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a  lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the  house.” Matthew 5:14-15 NLT 

Some common traits of difference makers: 

  • Difference makers are driven by a deep sense of purpose. • Difference makers instinctively know how to get things done. • Difference makers possess exceptional empathy and  compassion. 
  • Difference makers are not content with simply talking about  change; they take action. 
  • Difference makers understand the power of collaboration. 

The Most Important Commandment 

25 One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this  question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 Jesus replied,  “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?” 27 The man  answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your  soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as  yourself.’”28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!” 29 The man  wanted to justify his actions, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Luke 10:25-29 NLT 

  • Love God with all you’ve got. 
  • Love people. 

Parable of the Good Samaritan 

30 Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem  down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his  clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road. 31 By chance a  priest came along. But when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the  other side of the road and passed him by. 32 A Temple assistant walked over  and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side. 33 Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt  compassion for him. 34 Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds  with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own  donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. 35 The next day he  handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If  his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’ 36 “Now which  of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked  by bandits?” Jesus asked. 37 The man replied, “The one who showed him  mercy.” Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.” Luke 10:30-37  NLT 

  • The Good Samaritan was a difference maker. 
  • Jesus commands to take action. 

Next steps for me today… 

  • To love God with everything I’ve got. 
  • To surrender everything including my life. 

“‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul,  all your strength, and all your mind.’” 

  • To love my neighbor and show mercy.

Handbook & Welcome Packet

•    The parent must complete the necessary registration forms and pay a non-refundable Annual materials fee. This covers registration fees, book, and materials for class.

•    The parent must provide the center with a pre-school/child immunization certificate, or Blue Slip. This is to be kept updated, if it is not, the center will send out a notice stating that the required immunizations are out dated. The form can be obtained through the health department or your pediatrician.

•    The parent will receive a copy of the policies and procedures and will go over them thoroughly. The parent will sign the Parental Agreement form which indicates policies and procedures and agreed upon fees.

•    All enrollment forms, including a Schedule Information Form, must be completed by the parent and returned to the center by the first day of attendance.

•    Parents of children with special needs or handicaps must inform the director of the child’s condition(s) prior to enrollment so it can be determined if the center can adequately meet the needs of the child. This is necessary for the well being of the child.
