Thyatira’s Strengths and Weaknesses Revealed:

The Spirit of Jezebel: What Is It?
The spirit of Jezebel seduces believers into blending truth with lies and righteousness with wickedness.
“You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess.”
Revelation 2:20 ESV (1 Kings 16:31-33)

 

Modern Parallels – Where Have We Compromised?
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2 ESV

 

Society: Redefining moral boundaries: Accepting lifestyles, behaviors, or beliefs clearly contrary to Scripture (e.g., sexual morality, gender identity, materialism) in the name of “inclusivity” or “tolerance.”

 

Politics/World events: Allowing political debate and division to fracture church unity, rather than maintaining focus on Christ and His kingdom.

 

Media/Entertainment: Endorsing media that glorifies sin, prioritizing entertainment over Scripture, and letting trends shape our worship and teaching.

 

Church: Avoiding hard truths, prioritizing feel-good messages over repentance, holding to men’s traditions rather than Biblical truth, and confusing activity and numbers with spiritual health.

 

Marriages: Neglecting prayer and Scripture together, normalizing conflict and neglect, confusing Biblical marital roles, and letting busyness trump spiritual growth and unity.

 

Children: Relying on church for discipleship, failing to model authentic faith, and letting activities replace spiritual development.

 

The Enemy’s Agenda and Tactics: The enemy exploits our compromises to gain footholds in our lives.

 

  • Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 ESV

 

  • For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 ESV

 

Response: God’s and Ours

  •   “I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual 

      l immorality. Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who

      commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they 

      repent of her works.”   Revelation 2:21-22 ESV

 

  • Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:7-8 ESV

 

Key Points:

  • Compromise is subtle and gradual.
  • The enemy advances his agenda through societal, political, and cultural pressures, as well as the temptations of our own fleshly desires.
  • Stand firm in discernment and holiness by committing ourselves to the Word, prayer, fasting, and obedience.

Handbook & Welcome Packet

•    The parent must complete the necessary registration forms and pay a non-refundable Annual materials fee. This covers registration fees, book, and materials for class.

•    The parent must provide the center with a pre-school/child immunization certificate, or Blue Slip. This is to be kept updated, if it is not, the center will send out a notice stating that the required immunizations are out dated. The form can be obtained through the health department or your pediatrician.

•    The parent will receive a copy of the policies and procedures and will go over them thoroughly. The parent will sign the Parental Agreement form which indicates policies and procedures and agreed upon fees.

•    All enrollment forms, including a Schedule Information Form, must be completed by the parent and returned to the center by the first day of attendance.

•    Parents of children with special needs or handicaps must inform the director of the child’s condition(s) prior to enrollment so it can be determined if the center can adequately meet the needs of the child. This is necessary for the well being of the child.
