Luke Chapter 15 — The Chapter of the Lost

Luke 15 isn’t three random stories — it’s one message told in three movements. Jesus is responding to religious leaders who criticize Him for welcoming sinners.

 

The Lost Sheep

If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders.  Luke 14:4-5 NLT

 

“For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” Hebrews 12:6 NLT

 

“To be without God’s presence is to dwell in utter darkness, where every step echoes in emptiness, every breath is burdened with despair, and the soul cries out in a silence that only heaven can answer. The Lost Coin

“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and sweet the entire house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she will call in her friends and neighbors and say, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost coin.’” Luke 15:8-9 NLT 

 

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24 NIV

 

The Lost Son

“So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.” Luke 15:20 NLT

 

The father is waiting for you to make the move. He has always been there. Move and have faith in Him.

 

Hope for the New Year

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NLT

 

HOPE MEANS GOD COMES LOOKING FOR WHAT IS LOST

  • Hope begins when God takes the first step…Do I have faith to follow it?

 

REDEMPTION MEANS YOU STILL HAVE VALUE

  • Redemption restores what was always valuable.

 

GRACE RUNS TOWARD US WHEN WE RETURN

  • Redemption doesn’t shame—it restores.

Handbook & Welcome Packet

•    The parent must complete the necessary registration forms and pay a non-refundable Annual materials fee. This covers registration fees, book, and materials for class.

•    The parent must provide the center with a pre-school/child immunization certificate, or Blue Slip. This is to be kept updated, if it is not, the center will send out a notice stating that the required immunizations are out dated. The form can be obtained through the health department or your pediatrician.

•    The parent will receive a copy of the policies and procedures and will go over them thoroughly. The parent will sign the Parental Agreement form which indicates policies and procedures and agreed upon fees.

•    All enrollment forms, including a Schedule Information Form, must be completed by the parent and returned to the center by the first day of attendance.

•    Parents of children with special needs or handicaps must inform the director of the child’s condition(s) prior to enrollment so it can be determined if the center can adequately meet the needs of the child. This is necessary for the well being of the child.
