Journey Church exists to reach people who are disconnected from God and lead them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

 

OUR VISION

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS WHERE THE LOST ARE REACHED THROUGH INTENTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS HERE IN OUR COMMUNITY AND TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.

 

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 NLT

  • The church was never meant to be a place we simply attend. 
  • The church is a people God has called, transformed, equipped, and sent into the world.

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH WHERE THE ATMOSPHERE RESONATES WITH A SENSE OF CELEBRATION, EXCITEMENT, AND WARMTH.

 

1 Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Psalm 100:1-2 NLT

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH WHERE FAMILIES ARE EQUIPPED AND ENCOURAGED AS THEY DEAL WITH THE EVER-INCREASING STRAINS OF LIVING LIFE IN THE REAL WORLD.

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH WHERE CREATIVITY IS ENCOURAGED AND SPIRITUAL GIFTS ARE DISCOVERED AND EMPLOYED WITH EXCELLENCE.

10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

  • God never saved us simply to sit. God saved us to serve.
  • Excellence is about honoring God.

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH THAT IS RELEVANT AND CONNECTED TO THE CULTURE SURROUNDING US WHILE REMAINING BIBLICALLY 

GROUNDED AND DOCTRINALLY PURE.

  • We want to understand our culture.
  • We want to communicate clearly to our culture.
  • We want to reach our culture.
  • But we will never compromise Scripture to accommodate our culture.

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 NLT

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH WHERE DYNAMIC CREATIVE WORSHIP LEADS TO AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE GOD OF ALL CREATION.

23 But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. John 4:23 NLT

  • Worship is our response to who God is and what God has done.

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH THAT VALUES THE APPLICATION OF SCRIPTURE AND WHERE TEACHING IS FOR LIFE-CHANGE.

22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. James 1:22 NLT

  • “What am I going to do differently because of what God showed me?”
  • Information without application rarely produces transformation.

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH UTTERLY DEPENDENT ON GOD, WHERE PRAYER IS LIKE BREATHING.

16 Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NLT

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH THAT GROWS LARGER WHILE AT THE SAME TIME GROWING SMALLER THROUGH SMALL, INTIMATE, TRANSPARENT, AND RESPONSIBLE GROUPS OF PEOPLE SHARING WHERE THEY ARE IN THIS JOURNEY CALLED LIFE.

  • Rows are important—but circles are powerful.
  • Sunday worship allows us to celebrate together.
  • Small groups allow us to do life together.

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH WHERE BELIEVERS ARE CONTINUALLY GROWING AND BECOMING FULLY MATURE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST IN EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR LIVES.

 

A disciple is someone who is following Jesus…

  • Growing, Learning, Changing, Serving, Giving, Forgiving, Loving, Sharing their faith, Becoming more like Christ.

 

WE ENVISION BEING A CHURCH THAT NEVER CEASES TO GROW AND CONTINUALLY REPRODUCES NEW BELIEVERS AND NEW CHURCHES.

  • Healthy things reproduce.
  • Healthy disciples make disciples.
  • Healthy leaders develop leaders.
  • Healthy groups multiply groups.
  • And healthy churches reproduce churches.

 

Next Steps

Handbook & Welcome Packet

•    The parent must complete the necessary registration forms and pay a non-refundable Annual materials fee. This covers registration fees, book, and materials for class.

•    The parent must provide the center with a pre-school/child immunization certificate, or Blue Slip. This is to be kept updated, if it is not, the center will send out a notice stating that the required immunizations are out dated. The form can be obtained through the health department or your pediatrician.

•    The parent will receive a copy of the policies and procedures and will go over them thoroughly. The parent will sign the Parental Agreement form which indicates policies and procedures and agreed upon fees.

•    All enrollment forms, including a Schedule Information Form, must be completed by the parent and returned to the center by the first day of attendance.

•    Parents of children with special needs or handicaps must inform the director of the child’s condition(s) prior to enrollment so it can be determined if the center can adequately meet the needs of the child. This is necessary for the well being of the child.
