  1. A guide
    1. Tools ask for mastery over ownership.
      Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. – Psalm 119:105 *
    2. Not use but witness.
      1. “The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of God stands forever.”  – Isaiah 40:8
      2. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. – Isaiah 55:11
  2. King Josiah – 2 Kings 22 and 23
    1. He heard and acted on the Word of God. – 2 Kings 22:11-12
    2. Sought clarity from wise sources. – 2 Kings 22:13-20
    3. How you apply the truths matter.
    4. Reformed himself and his circle of responsibility.

1 Then the king summoned all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem. 2 And the king went up to the Temple of the LORD with all the people of Judah and Jerusalem, along with the priests and the prophets—all the people from the least to the greatest. There the king read to them the entire Book of the Covenant that had been found in the LORD’s Temple. 3 The king took his place of authority beside the pillar and renewed the covenant in the LORD’s presence. He pledged to obey the LORD by keeping all his  commands, laws, and decrees with all his heart and soul. In this way, he confirmed all the terms of the covenant that were written in the scroll, and all the people pledged themselves to the covenant. –  2 Kings 23:1-3

  1. Destroying false shrines. 2 Kings 23:4-20
  2. Restoring Godly living. 2 Kings 23:21-22
  3. Removing future temptation. 2 Kings 23:24
  4. Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since. – 2 Kings 23:25

19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and low to get angry. 20 Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. 21 So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. 22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in the mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you
heard, then God will bless you for doing it. 26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. 27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. – James 1:19-27

Action Steps:
A. Be a person of the Word, mastering; not just owning a copy.
B. Apply it to your daily living as you walk with love and reform.
C. Pray this: “God, I stand ready to hear from you. Help me to hear what You’re saying so that I don’t miss what You want to reveal to me on this journey.”

Handbook & Welcome Packet

•    The parent must complete the necessary registration forms and pay a non-refundable Annual materials fee. This covers registration fees, book, and materials for class.

•    The parent must provide the center with a pre-school/child immunization certificate, or Blue Slip. This is to be kept updated, if it is not, the center will send out a notice stating that the required immunizations are out dated. The form can be obtained through the health department or your pediatrician.

•    The parent will receive a copy of the policies and procedures and will go over them thoroughly. The parent will sign the Parental Agreement form which indicates policies and procedures and agreed upon fees.

•    All enrollment forms, including a Schedule Information Form, must be completed by the parent and returned to the center by the first day of attendance.

•    Parents of children with special needs or handicaps must inform the director of the child’s condition(s) prior to enrollment so it can be determined if the center can adequately meet the needs of the child. This is necessary for the well being of the child.
