‘Awe & Wonder – There’s No One Like Our God’ – 4.26.2026

“THERE IS NO ONE LIKE OUR GOD”

11 “Who is like you among the gods, O Lord—glorious in holiness,
awesome in splendor, performing great wonders?”  Exodus 15:11 NLT

Hannah begins her prayer of praise…

1 “My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me. No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.”  1 Samuel 2:1-2 NLT

On the day she made the biggest sacrifice of her life, leaving her son behind she rejoices and acknowledges there is no God like our God.

1 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you. When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!  Psalms 8 NLT

GOD’S POWER IS UNMEASURABLE

  • What overwhelms us is effortless to Him.
  • The same God who formed the universe holds your life in His hands.
  • When life feels too big or overwhelming, remember—the same God that created you commands all of creation
  • Your problems are not beyond His reach.

The Lord Has No Equal

12 Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale? 13 Who is able to advise the Spirit of the Lord? Who knows enough to give him advice or teach him?
14 Has the Lord ever needed anyone’s advice? Does he need instruction about what is good? Did someone teach him what is right or show him the path of justice?

26 Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. Isaiah 40:12-14, 26 NLT

GOD’S WISDOM IS UNSEARCHABLE

  • No one instructs God. No one advises Him.
  • God doesn’t need guidance—He is the source of truth.
  • He is never confused, never uncertain.
  • His plans are perfect, even when we don’t understand them.
  • Human wisdom is limited; God’s wisdom is infinite.

Our Faith grows when we rely on His understanding instead of our own.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own  understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

  • God crowns humanity with honor and gives us purpose.
  • You matter to God
  • Your life has value, meaning, and purpose because He designed it that way.

Will you trust the God who is big enough to rule the universe—and yet loving enough to know your name and the number of hairs on your head?
