Point #1: Murder Begins in the Heart

21 “You have heard that it was said to our ancestors, Do not murder, and whoever murders will be subject to judgment. 22 But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Whoever insults his brother or sister, will be subject to the court. Whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to hellfire.” Matthew 5:21-22 CSB

Point #2: Mini Acts of Murder
1. Anger Is Dangerous
Human anger is the first stop on the line to murder, and to the Holy God, a step toward a sin is as bad as the sin itself.

Hearing and Doing the Word
19 My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, 20 for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness. James 1:19-20 CSB

Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him. 1 John 3:15 CSB

Hatred means that you have not just given into ANGER but you feed it and help it grow.

Point #3: Pride Causes Murder

2. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. Proverbs 16:18 NASB

26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. […murderer from the beginning… John 8:44] Ephesians 4:26-27 ESV

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Ephesians 4:31 ESV

How to Deal with Anger
23 So if you are offering your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled with your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift. 25 Reach a settlement quickly with your adversary while you’re on the way with him to the court, or your adversary will hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will be thrown into prison. 26 Truly I tell you, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny. Matthew 5:23-26 CSB

Point #4: Let Us Die Instead of Murder

So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:11 CSB
Die to self (Flatline)

A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance. John 10:10 CSB

14 “For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well. 15 But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses.” Matthew 6:14-15 CSB

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9 CSB

Next Steps

Handbook & Welcome Packet

•    The parent must complete the necessary registration forms and pay a non-refundable Annual materials fee. This covers registration fees, book, and materials for class.

•    The parent must provide the center with a pre-school/child immunization certificate, or Blue Slip. This is to be kept updated, if it is not, the center will send out a notice stating that the required immunizations are out dated. The form can be obtained through the health department or your pediatrician.

•    The parent will receive a copy of the policies and procedures and will go over them thoroughly. The parent will sign the Parental Agreement form which indicates policies and procedures and agreed upon fees.

•    All enrollment forms, including a Schedule Information Form, must be completed by the parent and returned to the center by the first day of attendance.

•    Parents of children with special needs or handicaps must inform the director of the child’s condition(s) prior to enrollment so it can be determined if the center can adequately meet the needs of the child. This is necessary for the well being of the child.
